Don't you hate it when you think you've backed the winning team, only to find that you were wrong.

Knew I backed Geelong, but thought I'd backed Dockers. At least I backed Collingwood (against my personal feelings) and I'm watching the Swans beat Carlton (at half time).

Ch7 (Prime) here in CBR are absolute mongrels for not televising this match live. Can you believe a two hour delay?
I do not understand why some stations bid for sport and then do not bother scheduling properly especially as that was an important match in the context of the make-up of the teams in the grand final.

There is nothing certain but Sk Kilda now has the easier (if there is such a thing) preliminary final and would almost be certainties to make the grand final unless they choke. They have actually played well against teams in the eight and have struggled with the teams outside of the eight.

And who would have thought that the 2 best teams all year will now meet in the preliminary final (assuming Geelong win next week) for a chance to get in the grand final.

Looking like a Collingwood-St Kilda grand final....

Well I buggered both tips this week, Fremantle truly were the underdogs but I thought they could do it. As for the Swans, well that was nail biting. But can someone explain to be why at T-5 minutes it started counting up to 30 minutes? I thought all quarters were 20 minutes.

Next week is looking like it’ll be 2 very good games!

And did anyone see the other nail biting conclusion to the Bledisloe? Record victory of 10 in a row!

Because they don't want you to know exactly how much time is left! 30 minutes is how much time has actually passed, the quarters are 20 minutes "timed", so every stop / start the clock stops but the clock you see on the scoreboard (which simply just counts on) does not, if that makes sense.

Wow, could it actually be true....I might have picked 2/2 this week. Go the Swannies

???

I only picked one again :!:

I really thought the Bulldogs were the better team but expected their injuries would cripple them.

Final scores.
Western Bulldogs 3.4, 5.6, 8.9, 11.11 (77)
Sydney Swans 3.4, 8.4, 8.9, 10.12 (72)

Well the first week all year I got the full card correct. :p And I got the bonus eight points.

Now for next week and I agree with JohnK that it looks like a Collingwood v St Kilda Grand Final.

Incredibly it looks like the St Kilda v Footscray match will be live next Saturday night. Only the third live FTA match featuring St Kilda this season.

Brisbane were on delayed telecast, the game only just finished, close set of matches in all codes tonight.

Looking like a Collingwood-St Kilda grand final....

On paper, and also with the betting, that's the favoured scenario (and rightly so, for Collingwood couldn't have been more impressive in recent months, and is a huge hurdle for Geelong to get over), but, slightly misquoting the late EJ Whitten from one of the football panel shows he was on, "never underestimate the power of the cough".;)

Oh, and while I think the Saints will win next week, I would not write off the Doggies either.

I was watching it on Foxtel until the end of 3rd quarter, then toggled back to another program, but then didn't post in the last quarter. Looks like I was 1/2...back to my usual picking
