Advice on champagne

Yeah I am really keen to test it also - I am desperately seeking a relatively low priced Champers as I am intending to set up a small vending stand at MEL immediately adjacent to elevators to QF F - I can smell an imminent continual flow of DYKWIAs seeking alternative beverage supply once their looming entry up the elevator denied - plus those misfits who did gain entry but seem to be being booted in increasing numbers - do I detect whiff of money in the air? :D

The Vintage Cellars email this week was very welcome. The Taitt is a good price, but if (like me) you have cases of BlackCat Taitt, the Perrier Jouet is great value. I've been seeing this on special more and more across the market in the last month. Dans were doing it for $52.90 in any 6 a month or so ago, so $49.99 is great, especially when you factor in the 5% cash back in the form of cellar shares through VC Wine Club. Perrier Jouet is very popular in my house... a nose ahead of Taitt (although that may just be due to the current Taitt overflow :) )

Chateau De Bligny - Dan's @ $46.90 in 6s - $49.40 single - I bought one to test:

Pretty bottle - shame about the contents - seriously it was disappointing - nowhere near the quality of other labels available in that $45-50 price bracket IMHO - will not be buying more but as always YMMV.

That's disappointing. Lines up with my views on the Duperrey, as mentioned earlier, in the review.
Thanks for the feedback.

We enjoyed a Lassaigne last night - but it was a gift, so I don't know the price point.

Yes LP clearly superior - but that's only 2 glasses for 1 or 1 glass each for 2 - who on this planet could stop at 1 glass Champers?

And even worse, I must have bought too many of the LP piccolos from winestar, as they've put the price up to $24.99 each! Back to the Moet piccolos from Dan's I suppose, unless anyone has a better tip for piccolos under $20 (without resorting to Lanson)?
