Oh yes I totally agree with you @History. For medical reasons I have to avoid acidic foods (juice, wine) and carbonated drinks, so I am always limited to coffee, chai latte or hot chocolate, which doesn't have the right vibe as a pre-dinner drink! I love it when there are mocktails (I can usually find something based on watermelon juice or milk) and my go to drink these days is a vanilla milkshake. I can't see why a milk shake is any different to coffee/chai/hot choc in terms of cost to the hotel.I usually use my Welcome Drink for a hot chocolate. Better value than a juice or a soft drink - which I can usually purchase at a supermarket. *Fingers crossed* some hotels will eventually offer mocktails or milkshakes.
