Accor Plus Membership Discussion

I had A+ for 2 years then decided to let it elapse at the end of last year. I have been since looking for a good deal to join back but the 50% discount wasn't offered this year so just took the plunge and joined on 2 July to take the benefit of the 3000points back deal. (It seems that this deal finished on 2 Jul but then started back up again). I also saw on Loyalty lobby that for new and members who rejoined after more than 31 days will get 30 nights.

I used 12,000 All points to join rather than paying cash as I had bought the All signature subscription.

It's been now 8 days since I rejoined A+ but haven't yet received the 3000 points (I know they said it could take up to 30 days) and also haven't got the extra 10 nights (only the 20 nights on sign up). But I did get 2 stay plus certs.. which i was certainly not expecting

Just wondering if anyone else had similar experience and was wondering what could have triggered the 2 stay pluses.

I’m surprised you’re happy letting your points balance get so high. Whilst I think Accor is a relatively hackable program I always fear that overnight they’ll change the value hence I prefer to earn then redeem ASAP.

Looking at possibly Thailand or Japan for a break

and thanks for answering, I always appreciate your responses!

Edited to add - I have never been able to work out how to get the Stay Plus night? I wondered whether I didnt have it on my membership?
Can be worth it to make sure you get the Stay Plus option. Was able to book the Fairmont Tokyo with a SNU (minimum 1 paid night to be able to use Stay Plus) which is easily $1000/night.

Got an email offering me 10 extra status nights on top of the usual 20 included with Accor+ if i renewed before end of July. So I renewed via the invite 12 days ago, got a confirmation email saying thanks for the renewal.

However, no extra nights have shown up in my account, I know they took payment because briefly it was showing my expiry date as being 31-July -2026 and saying I have a free night to use; but now is showing expiry at 31-Jul-25 again with free night still there.

I used the online chat and was told it takes a few days but almost 2 weeks is a lot more than a few days; so I think im going to request a CC chargeback; as in past years the bonus night have landed immediately - seems like Accor aren't honoring their offers anymore.

Thank, however one shouldn't have to call and follow-up a standard offer; it should just work.

I was borderline as whether I would bother to renew, the bonus nights tipped me over the edge but as they haven't landed and its requiring multiple follow-ups makes me just want to cancel and take my future bookings elsewhere; I'm time poor which is why i like to do things online and not have to wait on hold to speak to someone.

I can do a chargeback without needing to call; and screen shot of the offer, payment receipt and chat saying a few days (something they didnt follow-through on) should be enough t get my money back.

All the offers / red hot rooms seems to be last minutes / less than 1 month out these days, not like years past where they covered longer periods and I plan my travels 12 months out so its not working great and the hassell now is CMO.

I believe you'll get them in the first day or two of your new membership year.

As per the terms and conditions of the program for the 20 night bonus. (specifically 2.6c)
The bonus Status Nights will be reflected in Accor Plus members’ Membership Accounts one (1) day after their effective Accor Plus membership subscription date. For renewing members, the bonus Status Nights will be reflected on the 1st day of their new membership year.

As for the 10 bonus status nights, the terms of these were (as per the email)

**The additional 10 Status nights will be credited to your account within 30 days of your new membership start date. Please check the terms and conditions below for the eligibility criteria.

Given that your expiry date was 31 July, I would be expecting those nights to be landing in your account in August.
In my experience, they arrived in accordance with the stated time frame.
