Also interested in the answer to this question:). Booked 4 nights in November.

Well I went and didn't get much, few drink vouchers, no upgrade (booked base level room) however the hotel was very full. Did manage a 3pm late checkout. There was a gift of some bath salts, a candle and some hand cream, which was nice.

I need 3 more points to reach Platinum. Anyone got any ideas?

Unfortunately my next stay isn't until late November and in 2014, I had 3 stays in early November so will be further behind by the time my next stay comes around.

Hoping someone knows some easy way to get these 3 points.

any updated stays at sofitel auckland? looks like there's a club lounge now?

I came across your post, diningdecadence, as I am looking at doing a trip to Auckland. However, no one seems to have been able to offer any updates.

I'm keen to try out the Sofitel, depending on what ACCOR Platinum benefits are offered, otherwise it will most likely be the Hilton, as I know what to expect there.

I don't believe there is an executive lounge at the Sofitel. Try a dummy booking. The Pullman which is usually much better value m, has a lounge. As for the benefits offered, I've given up emailing to enquire about benefits in Australia and New Zealand as the standard response is to refer you to the advertised benefits on the Accor website. Far better recognition and benefits through Asia.

There's a lounge at the Pullman but some recent times I've tried booking it's been over $400 a night

That being said, on my only stay there i was upgraded from a base room to a one bedroom split level residence and basically had the lounge to ourselves
