3 Day Super Sale
T&C's said:
Rates are 50% off the best unrestricted rate at the time of booking. All bookings are payable at time of reservation and are non-exchangeable, non-refundable and non-transferable.

Valid for stays from 1 April 2010 to 31 August 2010 (both dates inclusive) at participating Accor hotels (except Sofitel). There are a limited number of allocated rooms (determined by each participating hotel) and on some days there will be no allocation (including in Shanghai in May 2010) Rooms are subject to availability at time of booking and rooms in excess of this allocation need not be made available.

All bookings can only be made at 3-Day Super Sale Asia Pacific Coming Soon! from 7th March 2010 to 10th March 2010 (both dates inclusive and based on local time of the hotel in which room(s) are being booked). The rates are not eligible rates for the purposes of earning benefits in any third party loyalty program.

Rates whether displayed in local currency or US currency are inclusive of all local taxes unless otherwise stipulated. Where the rate is charged in local currency US currency is given only as an indication and is based on exchange rates as at 30 September 2009. The currency applicable to the transaction and charged to your credit card by the hotel will be confirmed at the time your reservation is made.

Accor Advantage Plus members (by logging into the members page) will receive a 10% discount on the Super Sale room rates. A Club members will earn points on their stay. (excluding: The Menzies Sydney, Novotel Wollongong Northbeach, Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach, Novotel Coffs Harbour Pacific Bay Resort, Novotel Melbourne on Collins)

re: Accor - 1 Million ½ Price rooms - on sale

Nice heads up.

We'll have to wait until Sunday to book these rates, however.

Thanks for that, i managed to book some Novotel rooms in Brisbane 1/2 price
:D I usually tend to stay at the Hilton but found this price hard to turn down.

The promotion says that A|Club points will be eligible on these rates.

However, I'm hoping that A|Club benefits (e.g. upgrades for Golds on request) will be available (barring things like a full hotel etc.). I know that sometimes chains are pretty lousy for either:
  • Refusing benefits by virtue of the low cost rate of room
  • Not offering or providing benefits in lieu of that can't be provided (although this one is debatable)

you'll find that in the T&C, upgrade benefits apply only to Sofitel hotels. Unfortunately Sofitel isn't participating in this sale.

Damn, you are right.

Geez, almost makes me think, "What's the bl**dy point..." except that those prices are rather cheap. I don't think I'll be pulling a PC or Hilton property any time soon at those prices... (at least for the city and dates I'm looking at)

I've booked four nights in a suite at Novotel Hong Kong Century for about A$200 per night. Not exactly bargain of the century (if you'll forgive the pun) but seems reasonable.
