sertfy - I have found "aussie humour" or not - calling someone a wanker usually results in a broken nose

Welcome to AFF (sure that's been said before but not by me!!). Yes a straight up labelling someone a "w_nker" might get you a broken nose (by the way we aren't all violent at the drop of a hat!!). The WP tag is probably more synonymous with the DYKWIA attitude.

If you want to get up serfty's nose call him a "W_nker Collingwood supporter!!" :D

Re: Please Post your AFF Acronyms and Abbreviations here.

As Harvy indicated its just a joke.

It could be described as depreciative Aussie humour.

I'm proudly both QF WP & VA WP.;):p

Double w@nker if you like.:D

Is that self deprecating spelling? ;) Or were you referring to the finance industry word that starts with b and rhymes with w@nker?

I thought of another one last night to describe VA's new wireless in flight entertainment - WIFE.

Ok, so I have read a number of thread on here about PCV but I just can't get a clear sense of what factors would increase or lower one's PCV, is there a definitive list somewhere ?

I'm fairly sure I understand the concept broadly, spend more money with an airline = they like you for doing that, but surely there is more to it? what about frequency of flights, do they track when you earn by using a partner airline (ie. they see you flying but no cash for them = lower PCV). Anyway, over to the AFFers who are boffins on this sort of thing...

I think calling Serfty Sertfy probably will get you a broken nose!!

I don't give a rat's a### if someone calls me a wanker... I may deserve it and therefore ignore it, will most likely ignore it anyway as I really don't care about other people's opinions, or if I am in a feisty mood quite possibly call you something far far worse in a much louder voice if there's other people about to highlight YOUR wankerness to. :)

I really don't have any Australian friends who would care enough to biff someone over it or most other insults. Most likely get a gob full in return though.

It's Alice Springs. It might be a good one to keep an eye on for runs as VA start flying there from ADL and DRW next week. Amazing what a bit of competition does.
