Just a quick question, or more down the lines of confirmation.

I have a friend who is a QFF and is flying to HNL then onto LAX.

They are looking at an AA fare for this sector which is listed as Q class (mind you, very cheap as well, $144). They are trying to work out if they will earn QF SC's and points for this flight.

As far as I can see looking through the QF T&C's, Q class will earn points and SC's at the Discount Economy rate.

I just want to double check before I advise them that this is correct.

Thanks in advance

AA Q fares do not earn anything in the QF FF program.

See the Airline Earning Table in the QFF Terms and Conditions for the list of fare types and their earning rates.

cheers...

...this is why I asked given that the following is found in the Status Credits section...

For international flights, including domestic flights within New Zealand, Discount Economy includes classes B, G, H, K, L, M, N, O, Q, R, S, V, W

I didnt think anything was earned from previous experience, but wanted to double check before passing on the information.

Thank you

Thank you

If they are on a qantas flight number, then the list you provided is correct

if they are on an AA flight number, then the AA earning list from the airline earning table is relevent to determine eligability

GLMNSV earn 50 % and discount economy SCs
BHK earn 100% and discount economy SCs
Y earns 100% and full economy SCs

other economy fares earn zero miles and Scs

I believe they were going off the AA website, so little chance of the flights being QF code shared.

I just asked for the Class code from them and guess I just got confused referring that code to the QF metal codes...

DOH
