Is this some kind of "enhancement"? I have a few bookings on AA in F in the coming 30 days and the option to pre-order a meal is gone from the "manage your trip" page.

While digging a bit more I found the following on AA website (my bolding):

"[h=3]Select Your Entrée in Advance[/h]To make your trip more enjoyable and convenient, we are the first U.S. airline to offer First and Business Class passengers the choice to reserve your entrée in advance on American-marketed and operated flights with scheduled meal service.
Flying with us in First or Business Class? Simply choose your meal when you book your reservation within 30 days of departure, or you may call Reservations up to 24 hours prior to departure. The only hard part is deciding which delectable entrée you want to enjoy!*
Contact Reservations"

So AA decided to simply remove something which used to work really well? I don't really feel like calling AA to be read a choice of Entrée...

Our last domestic AA flight was just over 2 weeks ago and I got an email a few days before to select the meal.So if changed it has only just done so.

Thanks, I'll see if I get an email in the coming days, but the link to make the selection directly from "manage your trip" is gone. Maybe the enhancement is due to some issues with integrating meal selection for ex-US Airways flights?

OK was able to find those emails-haven't cleared the trash since starting the last trip. The one before our last flight did say ring but for our flight of 23/9 it gave the link and I do remember looking. That date is after the FT thread.
I've always said my computer can do things others can't.But also won't do what it should.
