I need to get from KOA to LAX. I have two options - direct overnighter with AA or KOA-HNL-LAX, with KOA-HNL being an AA flight number on Hawaiian metal. I'm contemplating a YUPP if we go for the KOA-LAX or an F fare if KOA-HNL-LAX (instant upgrade not avail whe KOA-HNL is included).

Would I earn F SCs for the AA flght number on Hawaiian metal? I have only done AA codeshares on AS before, so am paranoid that this might not be the case.
Will the AA flight number override the fact that Hawaiian is not a QFF partner???

Thanks serfty. I thought so from reading the AA SC/points earn T&Cs on the QFF site, but as I said, was feeling paranoid. Now to assess if the extra flight is worth the 60 SCs and extra $600 ...
