C'mon ... what about a pressie for yourself and Shrek?

270K each for ~AU$6,666.66 each ... or AU2.46¢ per point.

Of course if you have purchased miles already this year (I did, 4K) you don't get the 120K bonus - I'm being offered 72K bonus for 146K purchase. Not as good value value at the 72K @ 100K level - 172K for ~AU$4,444.44 or AU2.59¢ per point.

AA miles are less generous now with availability and value. With the AUD below 0.72 today you have to think about it.

Getting married in December has always meant some of our biggest expenses seem to fall due in this month. The good news is the children grow up and boys will generally leave home before they hit 40.
Now getting 270,000 AA miles for this price per registered name can currently get you almost 11 one way Qantas flights in business class on coast to coast domestic runs so it can give you some very good savings compared to the cash price of business class flights. It should get pretty good results on BA or Etihad for long haul trips to somewhere up in the pointy end of the plane.
