For the Emirates experts, when do these seats become available (if at all)? Or are they completely reserved for status passengers? Does Emirates offer the selection of these seats for an extra charge, seeing that they are extra legroom seats?

I am flying as a Qantas codeshare flight and am gold status with Qantas, if that changes anything.

These seats don't ever become available to ordinary passengers, even Golds and Plats (I'm Gold).

Firstly, they are given to friends and acquaintances of Emirates staff, and then to people who bribe Emirates staff. If I can't get one of these seats as a Gold, you probably don't have much chance. Gold status with QF is less than useless (I'm a QF Goldie as well).

They are counted as Exit row. You have to ask at the airport to be allocated these, generally when you land in Dubai.

Yes, but by then they've all gone! I can't be an EK Gold without knowing that.

I got one on check-in at MUC; I was one of the first to check in. My strategy was to reserve the B seat in the hope that would prevent a couple getting A + B.

I've had no luck ex-BNE, I expect they're allocated ex-AKL, so nothing left by BNE.

so am on ek405 on March 6 and have 81a/k available to me, but it appears that there is a seat in front... Help.

The seat map for that flight certainly has 80A/K. Looks like the two-class config.

Seat map also shows first and business on expert flyer. Even more confused.

I have booked SIN-MEL on EK A380 and have been pre-allocated 43H. From seat map on Qantas website I can see 42C is available but also 52G and 52H. These look to bulkhead bassinet seats but think the bassinet is at 52E, 52F and 52K. If I pre-allocate 52H then I shouldn't be stopping someone from allocating bassinet?

Any thoughts?
