Recently on QF107, the J bassinet was pretty small for my then 6 months old, so ended up having her sleep on me and it worked out ok. Not sure if there is a difference between a380 and 747 J bassinets.

My cousin has flown Cathay J and F with her baby HKG to LHR and only had nice things to say about the staff service and baby bassinet.
