Qantas will be getting VH-EBS back from JQ next month and are looking to source more aircraft, wonder where the expansion will be (BNE-PER :) )?

I just hope they remove the 'orange' colours from inside and pretty much any trace of JQ from it before using it on QF

I have a feeling it'll be used for International rather than Dom.

If business is 2x3x2 then that's the QF domestic config with the dodgy table in the middle 3.

Awful legroom though.

Why do you say that? It has the current 330 domestic product on there, so why would it be used on international runs unless there is a tech somewhere in the network (most notably PER)

With no 788's... wonder what JQ route is getting cut back to allow for this?

No doubt the seats will need to be removed anyway for QF regardless whether its for Dom or Intl, they're surely not going to keep the black 'leather seats. No reason they can't install Skybeds in A330-200's?

The Skybed II's are too heavy for the floor in the A330s I believe.

They will have the same interior as now, were ordered that way with a view that they would be shared across JQ/QF.

Why would they remove the seats. They'll just do what they did to EBJ when she moved to JQ. It is the same product as what is on the current domestic 330's.

As for the skybeds, that was the early batch that couldn't handle them

I see! I've luckily never flown JQ internationally and just presumed they would be the same as JQ domestic.

I see lots of news articles suggesting Boeing has proposed a permanent fix, but none that say what that fix is.

Personally, I think the battery should be placed in a bay that can be jettisoned from the bottom of the plane if it has a problem, that way problem solved until they get on the ground and lose power (unless the battery is needed for systems in the air - I was under impression it was only for on the ground) :p

Good to see Qantas going ahead and accelerating taking the A330's back from JQ to help Qantas though!

I have no problems with an F lounge run on an A320 :p

I think the opportunities for such runs will diminish as they are mostly gone already, thanks to the focus on them being staffed by foreign based crews for the most part.
