over blown journalism maybe with a grain of truth and the boulder remains untouched.

Absolutely disgusting. Since having major surgery some years ago it is very difficult for me to swallow still water, it feels like swallowing concrete. So I must have sparkling water. Being denied sparkling water like that is a very poor decision by Qantas and a PR disaster.
I’ve never seen sparkling water served in a tertiary ICU to patients post surgery. I hope that doesn’t get out, because it may be a PR disaster for ICUs.

Scott K your an Intern so I am not surprised you have never seen. o_O

Nah. I’ll just get the Reg to do my posts while i’m “presenting” at yet another conference in the Gold Coast.

You don’t pay duty on water. Sparkling or otherwise.

well duh, but it's part of the bar cart.. hence the whole previous conversation.

Domestic is VERY different to international. that's the point.

Forgot to post on this subject even though I did some research in the field because of this thread. My last two times through SIN I asked for sparkling water and it was delivered without a problem. Note: this did not affect the consumption of the other type of pre-flight bubbles.
