A high risk strategy to get out of whY

OK - I now have 90K points in my QF program and 90K in AA. Tomorrow AM I plan to call AA to book one seat, jump online to QF and book the second then call back to AA to get them to ticket.

Just one question - if BA cease flights to Oz between now and next July (unlikely but a consideration) - will they accommodate me on QF or I am just SOL?

AFAIK, once ticketed you have contracts with BA (via QFF/AAdvantage) to fly passengers.

They should accommodate you on another airline.

SIN-SYD booked - seats 1EF selected

I might leave the HKG-SIN flights until after Xmas...

Well done! Good to see a man living on the edge from time to time.

Thanks - I cant wait for mrssimongr to be flying F for the first time - I really don't care about my experience on that flight as long as they treat her like a queen :)

As many on here will tell you - be prepared. Once they taste F, they will often "settle" for J and shudder at even the mention of Y. mrs alect still speaks of the international F trips we took (QF, AA, OZ).

I have to admit that I feel pretty much the same :!:

Well as an update my less than adventurous travelling wife today suggested that we arrange our HKG-SIN flight to give us enough time to get to Raffles for a Singapore Sling before we fly home :)
