A friend is off to HKG in a couple of days on QF. Gold, flying economy.

The baggage rules are straightforward enough, but with a minor (for me) complication.

Tickets issued (for SG flying economy) prior to May 2 have a 46kg allowance (unlimited bag numbers AFAICT), tickets issued after May 2 have a 64kg allowance (2 x 32kg)

Her ticket was originally issued in April, but she paid a fee and changed the return date in September (for a genuine need, not to try and increase baggage allowance).

The re-issued e-ticket receipt clearly states "Issued nn Sep 2012"

The PNR is unchanged from the first issue.

Now it seems obvious to me that the issue date is nn Sep 2012, because that is what is printed on the reissued e-ticket receipt, but I know I have read in the past that where a change is made, the original ticket conditions carry over to the reissued ticket.

Just wondering what the case is here as far as the baggage allowance is.

TIA.

Does the e-ticket indicate 2PC or 46KG?

Yep, found it on page 3 - 2 x 32kg!

Thanks serfty, I should have checked it more closely, but I really thought it was all generic after page 1.

The actual allowance info I posted was from the website.

I found this change in allowance of benefit for my flight Sydney to Jakarta tomorrow. 64 kg is quite generous, IMO.
