Given all the recent changes at Qantas and remembering a previous campaign that centred a round the 90 reason to Fly Qantas I thought it would be interesting to see how many reasons we could come up with not to fly Qantas.

I will start it off

1) Now Charging for Extra Leg Room Seats 80A and K and 71 D even for High Tier Flyers.

2) Ineffective enforcement of PB.

3) Demise of ASA at classic Rates.

4) Charging Trans Continental for Emergency Exit Rows.

5) High Taxes and Fees on Award Seats.

Lets see how long we can get this.

Is there an unlike button. I suppose some people need to vent.
But really , if you don't like them don't fly them

The brand campaign you’re referring to was “91 reasons to fly”, and referenced our years of service at the time.

While your idea for the thread is not unique, (http://www.australianfrequentflyer....rogram/93rd-reason-fly-qantas-your-53747.html, http://www.australianfrequentflyer....iscussion/91-reasons-to-fly-qantas-42841.html, etc...) perhaps yours may be the longest as coincidentally it’s our 94[SUP]th[/SUP] birthday this Sunday, 16[SUP]th[/SUP] November. ;)

I think even if 1-5 were not an issue many still will not fly QF.
Most airline customers fly BFOD and the most direct route.

Do we really need another Qantas bashing thread? It's getting a bit boring.

My husband was telling me about a VA friend of his not happy and was going to start flying Qantas. I told him, the Qantas people are just as unhappy with QF as some are with VA so good luck with that.

The grass is always greener on the other side

Why not fly QF for one reason and one reason only. - Take off to landing ratio is 1.0

It never hurts to let QF know what is ticking you off so they can hopefully put it right eventually :)

Direct Earn Credit Cards

Downgrade Compensation Calculation

Mixed Class Award Bookings

Prioritizing Jetstar for new aircraft

PE-style J Cabins on Transcontinental

Mid-Haul Int J Breakfast

Reduced SC earn that effectively discourages/punishes QF Frequent Flyers for flying other OW partners such as CX AA BA JL etc

Resorting to spin when benefits are enhanced away, programs adjusted or new fees added.

YAAAAWWWWNNNN... yet another QF bashing thread on AFF. Don't you people have anything better to do!

I was one of those who got lured by VA (DJ) attractive prices. It took me a couple of years and too many bad experiences to switch back to QF.
I'm not saying QF are perfect, far from it but I believe no airline is perfect because we all have different expectations when traveling.

Well played RR

6) The little 'i" on your J or F award booking that tells you "your flight from Sydney to London will be in economy"

I'll add

Charging a premium for airfares but no longer offering premium srevice

Inconsistent on board experience (domestically VA are at least consistent, even if the standard is low it is alway the same)

Fairer earning structure shows you don't want to maintain our relationship, which tells me Qantas no longer want my money (the clear implication is that my money comes on the condition of maintaining the same relationship)

The grass is always greener on the other side

Why not fly QF for one reason and one reason only. - Take off to landing ratio is 1.0

All airlines have a take off to landing ratio of 1.

(except perhaps MH which some* might argue have a ratio of 0.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999)

Counting the BKK incident as a successful landing then, I take it?

They did not say the landing had to be successful. ;)

* Not me

Time to get a life. Threads about Qantas all seem to be based a "divorce like scenario". Qantas are a commercial operation making commercial decisions. I choose to fly them because I enjoy their service - as consumers make your own choice, but lists like this are getting a bit dreary.

Is there an unlike button. I suppose some people need to vent.
But really , if you don't like them don't fly them

No need for you to comment or keep reading then.

Some people are really annoyed for various reasons, why not let them vent and if you don't like it don't comment.
