This is a photo of it being moved out of the hanger and into testing?

I vaguely recall being told, during the Boeing tour, that they move planes at night to prevent traffic issues of people stopping on the roads to take photos.

If youre ever in Seattle, do the Boeing tour. I almost sat it out and glad I didnt.

Looks sweet.... what are the differences in the 10?

Longer by ~5 metres, able to squeeze in more passengers and freight but a lesser range than the -9.

Plus an alternative-fact - it's "all American-made" according to Bullsh*t Artist in Chief, Donald Trump on the occasion of its first rollout.

Doing it September, anything else to add ??

When you arrive, grab your locker to store your stuff as people rush to get one just before the tour starts.

Hit the gift shop before the tour... And after. My hubby had fun.

And head to the viewing platform, to watch take off /landing testing.

Are you allowed to take cameras through the tour or do these need to be left in the lockers

Unless they've changed the rule, they are not allowed. Even phones go in your locker.

They use to be but someone dropped their camera into the manufacturing area so it's a safety issue.

It's a shame but to be honest, no camera means you really look around and appreciate what you're looking at. Sometimes we focus on taking photos but don't really pay attention.

When I was there, we had 3 Dreamlifters on the ground at the same time, and one was taxiing out.
You can take photos from the roof of the main building before, and after the tour, but definitely NO cameras or phones on the tour - and they do a metal detection check before you board the bus.
If you are in Seattle, you MUST go to the Museum of Flight - it is just plain bloody incredible with some fantastic exhibits.

When we did the tour, it was weird. I couldnt get a sense of how huge the hanger/workshop was, despite there being about 6 air frames in there being built. Its very deceiving.

Yeah did the tour as well last year, word of advice - use the "restrooms" before starting the tour.
I was a little disappointed that there was no photos allowed on the tour. Whilst it leaves me with great memories, I'll never be able to flip back through photo's of the day like I am with other parts of that trip.

Have done the Boeing tour and like most, disappointed that no cameras were allowed.

Totally agree. Its at the other end of Seattle and an easy public bus ride down there and back. From memory you can use the same bus ticket unlimited times within a 3 hour period. Cheap admission too.
