Whilst I understand the difference that everyone is talking about I really have to ask who cares :?:

It is not as if you are stuck on this 'thing' for hours on end and they will all be gone soon.
Some people do care.

There have been times where I have pre-allocated 4A or 4F on a 738 and when I get on board I find out it is a 734. I know it is only a 1 hour flight but to me it feels claustrophobic.

Not the end of the world but there is a reason I look for specific aircraft when I book flights 6-9 months in advance....

Should not be a problem in 6 months when they are all gone to the desert.

... and the next whinge will be the 717 J-class. :)

I prefer rows 4 or 5 of the 734s in Y. Row 4 on the 738 great, has good legroom but feels (for me) a little bit claustrophobic due to the curtain/divider in your face. And you never know - sometimes on last minute 738 to 734 subs, they leave row 4 and 5 in J-mode (2-2). That has happened to me a few times when I selected (and stayed) in row 4. Not sure what happened to 4B,4E and 5B,5E pax though...

I had pax sitting next to me on 4B/E on 734's and its always amusing to see the look on their face when they discover the little folding tray :)

I once sat next to a blind pax in 4B who understandably was wondering why the tray was so small, she was thankful for the explanation.

I'm in the don't care category. Actually don't mind them but J seating does suck - but then we're spoilt compared to EU/US.
