Qantas is offering 50% more Status Credits though Qantas Business Rewards for anyone who travels on an eligible Qantas flight for their business.

Simply register the business' ABN to activate this offer and book an eligible flight between 12 - 19 June 2018 for travel by 31 August 2018.

You can also join QBR for free until 19/6.

An eligible flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on the ticket where status credits are normally earned. Flights can be booked via qantas.com, a travel agent or Qantas Contact Centres.

More details here: End the financial year on a high with 50% more Status Credits. Register and book by 19 June 2018.

And of course I just booked a trip to the US on Friday. Doh! Actually said to a colleague that as soon as I book, this would happen :)

The offer coincides with an overnight increase of ~$250 per person for Y flights to SIN that I’ve been watching.

My dates are outside the travel window for this offer so it won’t matter, but I do wonder if the two things are related.

YMMV.

Have registered but doubt I can make any bookings in the next week for travel in the window - more likely to be VA ones so I can re-qual Gold (or achieve Plat again).

Interesting to note this line in the T&Cs:

If you change or cancel your initial qualifying booking and/or travel is completed outside the promotional period, this bonus offer will not apply.

So does this mean that if you change your flight but the PNR stays the same and the travel is still completed in the promotional period, you won't earn extra status credits?

Probably enforced about as strictly as the double SC promo with GV. Vaguely tempted to buy a GV and see what happens.

There are 5 potential options in that condition, including "you change your initial qualifiying booking". That lets them deny bonus points if there is a change.

The full 5 options where this bonus offer will not apply are:

1. you change your initial qualifying booking and travel is completed outside the promotional period,
2. you cancel your initial qualifying booking and travel is completed outside the promotional period,
3. you change your initial qualifying booking,
4. you cancel your initial qualifying booking,
5. travel is completed outside the promotional period

According to that condition

I think the travel window is generous but the booking window is tight - as I'm off in 14 days to the USA and haven't started thinking about work related travel after my return

That condition has been in several offers, including the last DSC offer. I'm sure the effect hasn't changed.

It’s only for travel until August. It’s usually much longer than that. Last one was for almost a year.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The QBR offers tend to have shorter travel periods (probably inline with being for business travel)

Indeed. One would think most business travel isn't going to be booked several months in advance.

Well I would suspect that most business even if they've planned what's going to happen for the year wouldn't want to spend the cash several months ahead of flying for cash flow reasons and also in case things change a bit.
