Congrats to QF and all involved.

Now to get on board one..... in J or better of course :D

Does QF charge more for A380 compare to 744 for the same route on J & F?

Any word on which flight numbers it will be used on?

For that matter is there a list of the QF A380 flight numbers? I only know of QF11/12 SYD-LAX as I'm flying on that one next month. Returning on QF108 so was wondering about that particular service.

SYD/LAX: QF11, QF12,
MEL/LAX: QF93, QF94,
SID/SIN/LHR: QF31 , QF32.

Qantas are using this new one to increase the 388 frequency mainly on the SYD/SIN/LHR route.

From Australian Aviation Express emai:
FOURTH A380 LANDS: Qantas's fourth Airbus A380, VH-OQD ‘Fergus McMaster' landed in Sydney on its delivery flight from Toulouse on the morning of August 24.

“This fourth aircraft will allow us to increase Sydney-Singapore-London A380 services from three to five per week, and Sydney-Los Angeles services from three to four per week,” Qantas CEO Alan Joyce said in a statement.

“Our fifth and sixth A380s are also due for delivery by the end of the year, after which we will offer customers daily A380 services to London and Los Angeles from Sydney and increase Melbourne-Los Angeles services from two to three per week.

Qantas says that since October 2008 it has carried more than 300,000 passengers on its 450-seat A380 services.

VH-OQD, MSN026, is also the ‘Wave 2' production A380, featuring production optimised wiring. The new aircraft is named after one of the airline's founders and its first chairman.

That is good to see, I chose my SYD-SIN flight next year on the basis that it is an A380. Already the front J cabin is full, could only get as far forward as 17B.

Yes I know planes can change but I hope it doesn't.
