Yeah, knocked it over within the first week.
Ok, I thought they would still list the bonus points in the statement, even if they don't credit them for a couple of months, but fair enough. I'll wait.

Did you have an existing Westpac/St G/BOM/Bank SA credit card in the 12 months prior to activating this one?

Offer now 50,000 Qantas or Altitude bonus pts with $2500 min spend for both this and the Altitude black card.

Can anyone definitely confirm they have got the fee waiver AND the bonus pts .

Planning on applying for the black card as it comes with a few lounge access passes.

Re: 40,000 Reward Points on Westpac Altitude Platinum Credit Card ($150 Fee / $0 if C

Can anyone please share roughly how long it took after hitting the required spend to receive the points? I hit the spend Apr 29th and am still waiting. My experience with Westpac has been *bad*. They didn't have my QFF number, in spite of inputting it as part of the application, they seem absolutely clueless as to what the offer was, and they keep telling me that it's gone to their admin team and will be done "in a few weeks". Of course, it takes a few phone transfers and lots of waiting on the phone. Note, I've tried their Award centre number (in this thread).

What do folks do at this point? Is there a complaints line, an ombudsman?

I had planned to churn, but needless to say I won't be moving my mortgage or regular banking to them, ever.

Cheers

Do payments to the ATO count towards the $2.5k minimum spend?

Yeah, I'm a bit worried. Hit my spend in May I think. Still no points.

To update those interested:
Checked today and my 40k bonus have posted. I am an existing cardholder.
I did it just to test the waters and didn't have much to lose, so this may not apply to everyone...

Can I confirm this offer that runs out in October is for 50K points ? (above posts say 40k received)

Re: 40,000 Reward Points on Westpac Altitude Platinum Credit Card ($150 Fee / $0 if C

Yes. 50,000. I have just had the 50K credited to my account this week after meeting the spend about 3-4 weeks ago.

Mine was a rewards black card. It was also fee free first year as I opened an account before applying.

It's definitely 50,000. Offer details sometimes change. And I believe a new thread has been created to reflect this.

"50,000 bonus Qantas or Altitude Points on a new card, when you spend $2500 within 90 days from card approval. Exclusions apply."

This is an old thread (see date of and details in first post) which was 40k at the time.

What you are referring to is the current offer, which is different (50k) and already has a different thread in case you are looking for more discussion.

FYI....

Finally, my points posted 12/09 - card cancelled 15/09. I did not enjoy the Westpac experience and am glad to be rid of them!
