The email I got said 1,000 points. The promotion I found when I logged into my QBR account said 3,000 points

Well I booked a qantas flight yesterday due to said promo, but only one way since no awards available on the return (hence no auto upgrades), and Virgin business was 15% cheaper than Qantas flexi fare.
