Sorry to be a poo-pooer, but has anyone else noticed their fuel is rubbish? Every car I take there consistently ends up needing something being done to it... If I go to the shell, nothing like that happens.

No. It's Caltex. Nothing wrong with the fuel.
I have replied to this previously so only the short version this time.I agree, though I don't ever need repairs. I'll go for a while, doing consistent runs getting consistent economy then wham, 1-2 fills of cough fuel giving awful economy. Used to be a BP only customer before the points/fuel docket thingy and never saw anything remotely similar - 98RON, sometimes feels like they are feeding me the 91 stuff.

The fuel for all service stations comes from only a few refineries throughout all of Oz. Thus it is not the supply chain however it's possible that their pumps/filters etc are not changed frequently enough. Many of the majors, at the wholesale level, actually buy and sell fuel to each other.
Where we are the Woolies fuel is fine.
I think its more to do with the smaller chains like united and 7 Eleven who are more likely to import petrol from Asia.
I can get a 12c fuel voucher on a $30 dollar spend. Anybody whether I would get one fuel voucher or 2 (20c & 12c) if I get the two pack of coke cans?
If you spend more than $30 its 24 cents, and the bundle is two for $22.

I anticipate stocking up on a lot of coke, and possibly making a lot of $30 purchases!
Thanks for pointing this out last night… I actually can’t wait to fill the 159-litre Prado now (x 12 points/litre).
14 points per litre if you buy 2 x 2L Milk for $5![]()
I thought that an extra $5 purchase didn’t work when converting fuel savings to points?
Looks like I’ve been missing out big time!![]()
The drinks work out to roughly $2 a litre. A bit of a rip off, however on a 75 litre tank a extra 20c off is a $15 saving. So you will save, as long as you use the offer. Also helps if you take extra jerry can or 2 to fill up.
