I had more expensive routes in mind than between the main east coast cities.

I did a 'multi-destination' booking with transits only MEL-CBR-SYD-BNE right up to the point of entering CC details, then backed out. (You can do this by ensuring the dates are all the same day for domestic travel)

It was quoting 9,600 rather than the 12,000; I would expect this to go through if I have continued. I have found any problem with specials and the booking not complying with T&C for the code entered normally is reported before getting to that part of the booking process.

I think that you are quite correct in it being valid; If just transitting, then that wouldn't be classed as a destination would it? I did try a business booking and when I selected the flights, it gave me an erorr that the promo code was invalid for this class of travel

Hi Kiwi Flyer,

The Qantas On Line award booking software is quite intellegent; It recognises transits for what they are; differentiating between International (24Hour) and Domestic (Same Day) rules.

You simply select the 'Multi-Destination' radio button when you start and plan your route. So for the routing above, as long as all travel is on the same day it's classed as one Trip. T/L/C's are another matter, IIRC it came out at $127 for the above.

Don't really know the answer to this one. I guess the one simple way to find out would be to make such a booking using the code and travel on it.
