This is a brand new terminal and it's a work in progress. Only 1500 people disembarked.

It's the simple things they haven't done. Like no trolleys. The queue for the taxi has to go past the main exit. We had people from Cunard yelling at us from behind to keep moving out of the exit space but the port people had put up barricades across the only exit so that the taxi queue could move forward. Then they'd stop the taxi queue moving so that people could move out of the exit. Just stupid planning. And only four taxis at any one time. People were hailing taxis and they were stopping, at the kerbside out of the queue. Some officials saying we had to show passports whilst others telling us to put them away.

Anyways it was an unfortunate end to a wonderful cruise.

Sounds very disorganised. I believe the larger ships like Cunard used to dock out near the airport at the cargo terminals (as they were too large for Ocean Terminal) and it was also very difficult to arrange taxis etc. Hopefully in time the new cruise terminal will be a big improvement from this.

Hmm. Quoting makes the app crash today.

I'm just wondering of what use a front view would be to you QP WP? :D. Please explain?
The front view would give more muscular profile of Vlad. The back view gave us no idea of his physique.

Maybe I went to the fitness classes because they were good?
I certainly hope so - Vlad and Stacey were just a bonus :D ;)

Your goal was not to put on weight whilst onboard and I hope you both achieved that. As a bonus, you got some flexibility.

She left without me. We could see QM2 sail out from the Club room. Haven't weighed yet - might need a coupla sessions in the gym before I do. :p

Nice nightcap.

Whilst you have the disappointment of the QM2 being over, you do have the CX J flight home.

Then it will be a serious case of planning the next one.

Not to mention checking out the new Qantas Lounge. I've organised an early transport as I also like checking out HK airport shops esp Shanghai Tang. Shame they are so expensive.

Yes, QF WP, Younger is right into planning the Europe sojourn. Three months till she goes with Mr P so she'll have plenty to keep her mind off QM2. I wonder what she'll call that trip report?
As for ODOlder, I'll just live with the memories.... Though I have booked a cruise from Shanghai to Tokyo with Mr LTL for October.

There we were in the Club last night. Serious QM2 tragics. I'd moved away from Dame the Older into the room where I'd seen the ship when booking in. And shared binoculars with another couple who'd also disembarked. A retired marine engineer. I was describing the Behind the Scenes Tour to him and I'm thinking another QM2 is now on his agenda as he'd never heard of it but was very keen. He'd bought the book of technical specifications written by Stephen Payne whilst onboard.

Cracking thunderstorms overnight but the friend I met at the hotel who had been on a land tour to China while we were on the ship slept through it all. She had been up since 4 am though! She is convinced it will be sunny today - we laughed and .... the sun is out!
Wonder where QM2 is now?

All I know is I'm rocking at the breakfast table. Maybe it's really windy out?

Plans for the day?

Dude. Don't pick up a plate. Handle it. Then put it back. Then see me then try give it to me. I don't know where your hands have been.

I see you are able to take a special goodie bag and put in some "pastries to go".

It's not often you can hear rain when on the 37th floor. And have the room lit up by lightening.

Plan for the morning.
Light Breakfast - check
Gym session - check
(I usually get bored after 10 minutes on the cross trainer warm up part but with a view like this, 25 minutes later I realised the time.)

This overlooks the port where QM2 was yesterday.

Weight workout - check. And rubber weights now not the huge metal ones on the ship.

I was using a bench for arm presses which I alternate with lunges. I didn't wipe it down as I was going back to it. One woman came along and made a huge deal about wiping it down after me. Put her bag on it. Then left it to go talk on the phone. Very loudly. Had to go drag another bench out so I could finish off. She still hadn't returned to it after I'd finished two more rounds. Sadly my bench seemed to have ended up closer to her bench when I was done making it difficult for her to use. Didn't matter. She hadn't planned to use it. It was just for her bag. Sigh.

Swim - Fail. Pool closed 5 minutes ago due to imminent storm approaching.

Hmmm. 10.30. Shopping? . Not sure. I'd like to find a jeweller that specialises in blush gold. :(

HK knows how to rain.

But as soon as it lightens I'm hitting the jewellery stores on Nathan Road.

Catch up at the club at 4.30 for farewell drinks for you, Dame the Older?

I was thinking of going to Disneyland tomorrow as not much else planned.

Just random photos around HK today. An aimless wandering day. Spent quite a while wandering around IMC mall eating a lovely baguette baked correctly.

Apparently we males and females cross legs differently Cute signs.

Well, it was a white star on his uniform, just not a Cunard one.

Again. No idea.
