I'm going to have to pull out of this one, unfortunately. Too much happening and funds are a premium.

Have fun, everyone! Hopefully you'll have a good time having a chat with jb747 (if the stars all align).

I have a friend interested in coming. I know the booking site has closed, but markis10, are there any spots still available for a latecomer?

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

"a friend". pfft. you mean "the second most awesome person on the planet wishes to attend, purdy purdy please"

(second only to markis10 of course, because right now it appears that is the butt that must be kissed :p)

There are still spots available, will put up another booking site just after Easter once I have some more details locked in of what's happening on the day now that I have an idea of the numbers which are bigger than I thought, should be a fun day!

I managed to get you to post on AFF, that's a miracle in itself :p

I'm kicking myself so hard I didn't see this earlier. Can't make it as I'm in Singapore boring people at a logistics conference. Though the Head of Logistics for QF is going to be there, so perhaps I can get some inside knowledge after hours
Next time, for sure. Have fun you guys.

Good to hear because I’m still waiting for a final OK. Pretty weak, but it’s what I’m coming to expect of the process.

Next week I’m putting in leave for a family holiday in 2013… I don’t expect to receive the all clear until the day before…

Thank goodness you won't be in MEL boring us then, MAD :p. Logistics never did do anything for me (not that I ever had anything to do with such an exciting thing.) :p:mrgreen:
(it's a joke MAD...) :D. May you enjoy logistics infinitely

*arm waving madly* Wait for me!

Markis, please add me to the list if you need numbers to load up the payment page again.

I have to drive past Tulla to get to the city so can provide transport for 3 if outright bribery helps. I will even navigate the new traffic setup!

I was holding off paying as funds are tight ... Seems I held off a bit too long ... Looking forward to the booking page opening again as I have flights and hotel booked already :)

Yeah, I'm a plus one, with the same excuse as awilcockson.
I'll take up your offer of a seat in car there Jessica if that's ok..

One seat down, two to go!

Depending on when you will pass the airport I might be looking for a ride as well. Don't want to inconvenience anyone. Not sure when harvyk arrives...

It is about a 15-20 minute drive to Essendon from MEL so can be there about 9-9.30am if that helps. I have to work Sunday (the joys of shift work) so it won't be a late night if a return trip is needed.

I am scheduled to arrive at 8.30 so depending on when others fly in we can be outside by 9.

Is there a dinner organised? Or maybe we should do a late dinner at Sichuan House on Saturday?

Interesting, I can either fly CBR-MEL first thing in the morning and get into MEL at 7:50 on a not very cheap ticket ($169), and then have 2 hours to kill before the museum happens, or alternatively I could go CBR-SYD-MEL paying $21 more, nabbing the extra 1000 points \ 10 SC's (so a earn rate of 2.1c per point \ $2.10 per SC), only down side is I wouldn't get into MEL until 10:35, which means I'll miss out on the first hour at the museum...

Ah decisions decisions...
