Hyatt Gold Passport - Airline Acquisition

I have one stay coming up, does anyone know if the benefits are available for award stays?

Looks good. With the offer being open until December 31, 2010 I will leave it as late as possible to take up the offer as I don't have any Hyatt stays on the agenda at present.

Likewise I’ll subscribe to the thread and come back to it if needed while in Europe over the winter period.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but turns out it wasn’t on until the end of December.

Not that I was planning on using it for any stays, but the plan had been to come back and scoop it up next month.

I earned HHonors Diamond in the usual fashion and got Hyatt Platinum by virtue of a CO credit card. But with SPG I got them to match my HHonors Diamond status just by sending a written request together with a copy of my most recent HHonors statement. I was able to get CO status to match my AAdvantage Platinum a few years back using the same basic strategy. I suggest it's definitely worth a try.

I guess my point is if you have status in X you can probably swing status in Y if you ask nicely. I suspect your odds improve the higher your status in program X. Continental will do a status match once every 5 years. Not sure about AA since that's my primary. I also don't know what the hotel program policies are on match frequency.

Re: OT: Re AAdvantage status fast track

AA have their "Platinum/Gold Challenges" and tend to offer that rather than a direct status match - more here:

Yep, I've taken the challenges before (I think you can only do these once every two or three years - not sure what the frequency limit is now) but wasn't aware they don't status match (never had a reason to ask since I have been pretty AA/OW loyal over the last 20 years and had nothing to match to... LoL).
