Sorry to whinge - SYD-DFW on the QF site brings up JQ SYD-HNL then AA HNL-DFW sigh....need to go to April to find seats on the direct flight.

The email turned up. Looked around but didn't buy today.

One thing I would like is a break up of the charges, it may only be $38 but when it says 'other airline charges' it just annoys me they can't provide the details.

Matt

I looked at booking 2 x Y class tix CBR-MEL, but when the "taxes" came up at AUD 97 I thought what a rip-off. So, it struck me that offering 15% off regular miles was a bit of a silly ruse, as QF will continue to cream off any award booking with your cash.

So, as a person of principle, and someone who has lots of FF miles with other airlines, I checked the Virgin website and could get similar flights for $30 less and fewer points. So why do people insist on paying through the nose for garbage? (I do know the answer).

I had a brief look, but couldn't find anything worth spending points on.

Shame it ends on the 18th September... could get me over for the RWC15 but not back :p

Re: 15% off selected Qantas & Jetstar Classic Award flights. Bad luck if you're in Pe

If this were Business classic awards then yes maybe, being economy awards not really interested. Oh how I miss ASA's...

Yes.! whY? Why?

This promotion has been poorly implemented, some of the issues:

As mentioned in this thread it does not apply to all legs of a return booking, just one ways.
Changing options or dates in the booking system will often see the discount disappear.

It looks like once again we have fashion in the form of a slick looking website coming at the expense of functionality.

And the IT work experience/5 year olds strike again.

Do you think the message is getting through to Red Roo/QF yet?
