Not sure whether it is targeted, I just received an email to get up to 10000 flybuy points for buying the pet insurance provided I hold it for more than the cooling off period and I can buy multiple policies, anyone thinking about signing up for this promo?

* Flybuys points (Offer) is only available to members who receive this communication, purchase a new Coles Pet Insurance policy online between Thu 26 Nov and Thu 28 Jan 2021 (Offer Period), provide their Flybuys number at the time of purchase, and keep the policy in force for at least the 21 day cooling off period and until the points are loaded to the member’s Flybuys account. Each Coles Pet Insurance policy you sign up to within the Offer Period will be eligible to receive the Offer. The Offer will be credited to the member's Flybuys account up to 45 days after the policy start date. For full terms and conditions see coles.com.au/insurance/bonuspoints

It's targetted. Some of my accounts got it and some others didn't.

For 10k points it is not worth it. With the amount of 10k offers Coles is offering, this is the at the bottom of the ladder for value....unless of course one found great value in the insurance offered.

I got an email yesterday offering 20,000 bonus points with Coles Pet Insurance.

This is back again with 20k for a 'premium' policy. $29/month for a domestic 1 yr kitten in the ACT is as low as I can get it.

So around $60 for 10k VFF (or 11.5k during a promo) perhaps just worth it, but then again maybe not with the current opportunities to use VFF points. I think I'll be happier with the $60.

It's not really that much. It's basically $10.

Woollies did the same, but you got 10% off for the 1st year (for me $90) and you get 10% off one shop a month, up to $50 a month. I've tried to get as much dry goods as possible in one shop, but $400 was the most so far :)
