I wonder if award redemption Fees would also work?
While I cant disagree with the statement, it is common in T&C's to exclude gift cards but frankly I'm struggling to find an example where this was actually applied.

I've got two Qantas offers loaded on my Amex - one for "spend three times for 20%" off and "spend $700 and get $100 back" - if I were to make separate Qantas purchases of $250/$250/$200 on that same card, would the offers stack, giving an effective cost of $460? Does anyone have experience with this?

mick - do you have a link for the spend three times offer?

Bought voucher, got the confirmation

Congratulations, a credit is on its way. Thank you for making an eligible purchase and qualifying for your Amex Offer. Your $100 credit for spending $700 or more at Qantas will be issued to your registered Card account. Credits are generally issued within 5 business days upon completion of your eligible transaction.

thanks folks!

Yes that link would be good if Mick or someone else can share. It would be good if it was stackable.

Presumably it is stackable with the 5 points per dollar Christmas promotion too.

Bought a voucher and received the Amex conformation email before I received the QF email with the voucher attached..... On the lookout for the $100 credit to my CC account now. That is 14.28/$7.00 domestic CC surcharges.

Award redemption fees do work. It's the same merchant ID.

Signed up 3 x Amex cards and now its time for my QF gift voucher purchases to take me thru 2016.
$2100 is a little more than I had planned to spend but for $300 of free travel and 10500 QF points it is not a bad deal (+ bonus points on the amex card) ðŸ

Sorry, couldn't find it - I think I signed up to the deal via Offers on the Amex app on my smartphone. It was only available on my Amex Plat Charge.

Seems like I'm too late. The sign-up page is returning the below message:

"Unfortunately the maximum number of Card Members have already enroled in this offer. Please visit http://www.amexconnect.com.au for other fabulous offers."

Yeah, that offer was limited to the first 8,000 cards to register, so maybe the limit was reached.

I must admit I was selfish: registered both my Amex cards just to be safe...

For those interested I purchased $1000 voucher for a $679 one way flight and the difference ($321) was refunded back to my card...Well $421 if you include the $100 from this offer and I assume it'll let me keep the bonus points from the voucher promo.

If you go under $700 spend, Amex will pull the $100 credit back off you.

+1 missed out here, couldn't register my Amex issued card (weird?) when I tried in the morning, then when I tried to register a bank issued one it said it'd gone.

Pity with today's SE Asia sale I am looking to lock in HCMC next year with my parents!

That is not normally how it works. Usually the remaining value of a voucher is used to create a new voucher.
