100,000 velocity points for velocity platinum amex with referral

I thought I'd add a little table I made which outlines the points required for travel on Virgin Australia.
Of course VA isn't the only airline available for use with Velocity points (can be transferred to Krisflyer), but they are decent value with low taxes.
The table I've included doesn't include the tax free points amount - that's generally a few thousand more.
Anyhow, I hope it proves useful to people out there.

And of course I'd be extremely grateful if someone used my referral link

Cheers :)

It is a great deal. Please find my referral link below. 100000 Velocity points will almost get you one way business class to Europe with SQ(after converting to Krisflyer). ( I will receive 60000 Velocity points for referral).

I'll be interested to know if anyone in this thread really gets a 60k referral - surely anyone thinking about applying for this card would have already applied for it last year? We've all been pushing this card for referrals for well over a year now!

As per your signature though, the card has gone up 20k points (from 80k) which is nothing to be sneezed at. Also another part of the attractiveness of this card is that if you apply early and receive your card in a couple of weeks, you might be fortunate enough enough to get a couple of 60k referral bonuses. To me that'd be a huge incentive in signing up. :)

The magic 8 ball says ....... YES!

do you mean that you actually received the 60,000 points already?

I applied and was approved yesterday. I am pretty sure I used pauly's link as it was the last post at that time. I had previously had this card and cancelled early after getting my bonus points with the intention of applying again in 12 months.

Once I receive my card will there be any indication of whether I am eligible for the points or not?

The lure of getting a few referrals tip me over the line with the decision to go early.

usually they are pretty quick to reward the points once you have spent the required amount. Let us know how you go.

Evening all - just throwing my hat in the ring in case anyone is looking for a referral code. Would love to take my partner away to NZ for our anniversary and these points would just about do it.

PS great card. Much better service than ANZ.

Giving it a go, posting my link :) Running a bit low in points so if anyone would love a new CC with an additional 100,000 bonus Velocity points, this is the link to use ;)

Great offer, you get 100,000 and I get 60,000 for the referral. Minimum spend of $2000, but easily done, especially with rates coming up. Same perks as above, lounge access, free flight etc.

Thank you for looking!

Would love to know from those who have applied whether you really need to spend $2000 to trigger the points?
i know during the 110k offer, the points trigger was lower than the advertised figure. :)

Hard to say no to 60,000 points for a referral. Guess I'm going to have to start bugging some friends...

For anyone here looking to apply for the card, I hope you pick me in your lucky dip of random links... http://amex.com.au/refer/leukeme2Rf
