Hrmmm ... interesting that the *12 month exclusion period for previous card holders* to qualify for the 100k bonus is not listed on the Westpac deal via the Point Hacks website/weekly bulletin they just sent out.

The 12 month exclusion clause is also not present when you look at the Westpac 100k offer via the Qantas CC website.

Geez not sure what I have done to upset westpac,
Have applied 3 times in the last year - no go all three times
Myriad of other card all approved ( some multiple times).
Can only guess that they are more sensitive to multiple applications compared to others ( eg Successful for NAB platinum (second round) after knockback from westpac)
Interested to hear others experiences

Wastepac assessors are not the most efficient in the banking sector. Mate of mine works 0.9FTE earning over 300k pretax got rejected ... they claimed 0.9FTE permanent listed on his payslip implies he is a casual worker ... also did not know how to add the amounts on his payslips and concluded he had a minimal monthly income. This is despite multiple phone calls to point out all their mistakes. He has since given up and got multiple cc's with amex, citi and anz ...

Retail credit card assessments can produce wide variations. I have never had a problem with Westpac but we deal with them in middle markets.

imipenam,
Im not too far off that -
I must admit gives me the irates when Woolworths and westpacs knock back someone earning $250k
I have had other cards ( not at the time of applying for westpac) totalling well over $100k.
Perhaps its the $0 outstanding balance that they don't like :)

I received my card(s) a couple of weeks ago, but haven't received any type of marketing or a booklet telling me how awesome Westpac/altitude are and the general inclusions on my card (all of which I usually read and keep)

How do I get the Priority Pass membership?

I happened to go into the branch and the 'banker' was almost insistent that she could get the same deal on for previous card application and it went really smoothly. Cancelled 3 weeks ago, and I'l like to apply for this. Perhaps someone else will test it. ;)

I'm baulking at the $395 fee though, but the earn rate is good.

mmm now I am wondering if I could apply. cancelled my westpac cc last month....

Cancelled mine in Nov too ... but now working on the nab & st george bonii. Also need to cancel Anz after the upcoming Amex offers Hopefully can get on to Wastepac before the offer ends. End date is 31st March if apply via the Qantas website.

A week later and after a handful of calls, the great beancounters of westpac seem not to want my business.

Everyone I spoke to gave me a slightly different story from poor credit score (Veda is fine) to previous history with the bank (none) to not having a current Westpac bank account (well, this experience is hardly an incentive to sign up) to SECRET BANK REASONS GO AWAY (okay, fine).

Vexing.

I banked with NAB for over 20 years and never had a credit card with them, nor an overdraft or a loan. So basically never had any debt with them. I applied for a CC about 5 years ago and was rejected. Applied again 2 years later and was rejected.
I applied with ANZ and was accepted, so I moved all my banking to ANZ and left 1 "dormant" account with NAB with about $80 in it.
I then applied for a NAB CC again (for the bonus) last month and was accepted. Go figure..

Got my 2nd lot of 50,000 pts last night. This from a November 2017 sign up so 3rd statement.

Has anyone with Altitude Platinum signed up for 100,000 point Black promo and received the bonus points?

Offer terms do not exclude existing customers, however seems Westpac has no idea what is going on so it'll be hard to argue the terms if they think the entire promotion doesn't exist :D

I lost track of what bonus points scheme I signed up for, but noticed that I definitely did not get any bonus points.

Anyone know if there is anyway I can find out what bonus I signed up for? I've clicked around but have no idea.
