Hopeless! Booked a flight on 17 January using a $500 gift voucher for a $129 flight - residual balance of $371. Two days later, still no sign of the residual credit voucher reference number. Called Qantas tonight and they insisted that the email had been sent to me, however they could not tell me what the new PNR was for the remaining balance. I explained that I wanted to make a further booking whilst the current Asia sale was on (finishes 21 Jan) and that generally the residual credit also shows in my FF profile which on this occasion wasn't either. After about 5 minutes of hearing it's been sent, it's been sent, the Call Centre operator finally said 'I've sent an email off to the digital team for investigation in the next few days'.

Not a good start to the Gift Voucher redemption process folks! Watch this space,,,,

Yes, that reminds me, I am still waiting on a residual value voucher of $31 to come through after I redeemed a voucher last Friday. Must add to my to-do list for in the morning.

Usually they come through very quickly. A new reference number has definitely not appeared on my list of Bookings (I just did a check against my spreadsheet of flights).
 
All the bonus points came through overnight. So much better than last year. Thankfully we've not had any dramas this year and being able to buy up to $4000 in one voucher has been very useful.
 
re residual credit - I agree... has come through almost instantly AND shown up in "My Bookings" online. Clearly some sort of glitch. I don't know how QF can claim the email was sent yet not be able to give a PNR for it. That's not good at all :(

Yes, I suspect there's a glitch somewhere. I rang this morning, but unfortunately got Bill in Domestic Sales (from the get go, I could tell this guy did not want to go out of his way to help... sorry if I'm preventing you from earning commission on sales, Bill, but I didn't get to choose whether you answered the phone or not... just saying!). He said that he could see it in "the queue", but suggested that due to the high peak of work since the holiday period, there could be a delay in processing. He suggested I waited until the end of the week, unless I really needed the new voucher straight away, in which case perhaps the Premium Desk could help (well, I did ring the Platinum number, and yes, I'd rather talk and deal with them rather than you, Mr. Sour).

Bought a $6000 gift voucher on 9/12/2014 and booked the flights the same night. Had to use the call centre as one ticket was for a child. Maybe this is why the points haven't been credited yet. There was also a delay in issuing the ticket for some reason. When I spoke to another call centre lady she said there was some tidying up to do on the ticket??
The ticket has now been issued OK and there has been a charge to my credit card for the extra $33 which the ticket cost over the $6000. This was in the shape of a charge of $269 and a refund of $236. Weird but there it is.
Guess I'll have to give them another call sometime.

Not yet. Mr. Sour, ahem Bill said to give it a few more days and it should be processed in the queue. I'll give it till Friday and then will ring back. If I don't get the Premium Desk, I'll ask to be put through (I miss being P1...)

Update: seems the queue has been cleared and my residual voucher came through this morning.
 
Has anyone had any success with small residual reissues? I'm still waiting on about 6 x $2/4 vouchers and QF don't seem to give a rats.
