Hi All,

I was wondering if a 1:15 connection at lax, QF107 (Arrive 6:45) to AA2422 (Dept 9am) was doable? If you only had carry on?

If on the one ticket you would be protected; however 1:15 is less than the LAX MCT for QF-AA of 2.00 so it should not be possible to have it on the one PNR.

2:15 min flight to flight, possible if only on the same booking, if separate booking, no, my last 2 trips through LAX have taken 2 hours from INT to domestic.

Two weeks ago I stood in line for 90 minutes at TBIT to clear immigration. It was ridiculous. They had just three people handling our particular queue and one of them took a break midway through. By the time I walked to terminal 4 to check in and go to the lounge I was glad of my 3.5 hour gap between connections.

@LAX

Domestic to Domestic - 1 hour 10 minutes
Domestic to International - 1 hour 30 minutes
International to Domestic - 2 hours
International to International - 2 hours

As others have suggested, don't do it even if your bookings allow you to do so.

I haven't had a transit from international TBIT through to Domestic T4 at LAX take less than 90 minutes - and that's 5 attempts in the last 12 months with carry on luggage only. Doesn't seem to matter if I come in on QF107 or QF11 - the shorter queues for the early arrival are offset by fewer staff on duty.
