Just got my details from the travel agent. I'm also flying PER-HKG on Saturday night PE booking class E. Its eligible for an upgrade but I think the minimum bid was over a grand. Don't think it's really worth it.

Thanks for the responses. I've just checked the flight history and although it does seem to be delayed slightly quite often, in the last 40 flights there have only been a couple of occasions where a delay may have proved difficult for the connection. Think I'll give it a go. Thanks again.

To be fair, it's only a TA issue if the TA was advised of the importance of points/SC earn. If the TA isn't aware of this how would they know they needed to avoid certain fare classes?

Unfortunately MH doesn't earn full business credits when flying into and out of Australia. I'm not sure if this table is still accurate as I saved it when looking at rates etc at the start of the year but you'll see that the maximum you can earn on MH into and out of Aus is flex economy credits etc.

I did a status run to get access to lounges, among other benefits. A bit of space, a shower and security are all great, but the clincher has to be free booze!
