I was thinking the same thing, once Qantas cans the Singapore flight it is impossible to fly international from Perth other than on another airline (did JetStar ONCE and it will remain ONCE).

If you are a paid Club member what happens when you earn Gold status to the complimentary membership. Do you get an extra year or can you transfer it to another family member or do you just get nothing?

I really get confused about the cost of business seats from PER to just about anywhere is Asia. We can fly to LAX for about the same price but it is a fraction of the air miles. Or we can fly to NZ or just about anywhere in the Pacific from PER for a fraction of the cost of going to Singapore.

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview! When I booked it (17th Jan 2014) the fares were mostly $1200ish each way but there were a couple of slots where the fare was around $850 each way; so I grabbed those quick smart. It is showing a "Business Saver" as the fare type.

Not a SC run but; PER-SYD-NOU Return J $1700 and will reap 320 SC so $5.30 per SC not sure if that is good value or not, I look forward to your opinion. Looking forward to the weekend with my wife.
