EK F Free Helicopter Transfers - Nice

So here is the response: "I have received an email from the team in France. That service is not in place at the moment and is is something that is subject to an arrangement being worked out between Emirates and Monaco Airfor the helicopter service. It’s not in place at the moment" So I guess...

EK F Free Helicopter Transfers - Nice

Tried booking this through the call centre the other day, had to read out the emirates press release to them, was told it was impossible and untrue, and that they only do car transfers. Again read them the press release, they are now going to go talk to "the France office" but had no way to...

Any couples where both people are Platinum One?

Agree spouse CL membership is a perk for CL members - in addition I know at least a few couples where both have become invited in their own right - think Senators/Members of Federal Parliament whose spouses are Ministers in State Governments etc.

Qantas and One world baggage allowances

I have also never experienced a difference in checked baggage entitlement on CBR-SYD based on aircraft type. Just looked at a "just issued" e-ticket and it appears the language has changed (from what I know is/was on the website), to just carve out Lord Howe and Olympic Dam, cabin baggage...

Qantas Loyalty MEL lunch (03SEP13) attendees thread

Thats ok - they clearly don't know who i am - they got my last name wrong, and even though i was told they would update immediately yesterday - this morning the same (incorrect) name is still in the booking. I am sure it will get sorted out on monday - but this clearly explains why my DYKWIA...

    QF1/QF2 - SYD - LHR - Qantas F Suite

1-1-1 is the answer. The 2 seats on the right share an aisle, the A seats have an aisle to themselves. I like the A seats - In QF F there is no real advantage to sitting across from each other - you can't really see each other let alone talk, and the A seats have their "own" aisle. Just my 2...

Qantas Cash - combined frequent flyer and travel money card

The suggestion that the card can be used in Woolworths etc in Australia would differentiate this card from most "Travel Money" cards - the vast majority (all?) only allow you to use funds overseas (I guess it adds to revenue from people having money trapped in a card that expires after a holiday).

Travel precaution - certified copy of passport helpful?

The Commonwealth seems to have waived their copyright by posting statements such as this: :) "Make two photocopies of valuables such as your passport, tickets, visas and travellers' cheques. Keep one copy with you in a separate place to the original and leave another copy with someone at home...

Complimentary Aust. Fin Review Weekend subscription for Platinum

Didn't even get as far as giving my new address, just said that I had moved from Canberra to Brisbane, and she came straight out with "We don't deliver to Brisbane" - didnt really give me many places to go with the conversation... Matt

Business Class Discussion - Seats/IFE/General Thoughts etc

I have found my J experiences with Virgin to be pretty disappointing. I realise there is a fan "community" for Virgin, but I really don't get what the hype is all about (or if I'm missing something really obvious that makes it all so exciting). The service seems just a bit all over the place -...

VAustralia Lounge LAX TBIT terminal 3 ups and downs....

Re: LAX T3 Lounge Access Happy to report back - not heading back for a couple of weeks (o one would presume if it is as simple as a liquor licensing issue it should be resolved by then, I really can't think of any other plausible reasons to send lounge guests to a bar outside the lounge.

VAustralia Lounge LAX TBIT terminal 3 ups and downs....

Re: LAX T3 Lounge Access I am guessing this is about some liquor licensing problem - however seems pretty inexcusable, it's not like the Alaska move wasn't known in advance. I am in the middle of a VA itinerary - after which I will requalify for Plat having had it comped last year. This is...

    Domestic Premium Economy?

Thanks jdevereux3 - That's what I suspected prior to making the booking, however the phone agent was very insistent that I was booked in "Premium Economy" between MEL and CBR, and then the confirmation came as follows: Duration Operator Equipment Cabin VA1211 1h40m Virgin Australia Embraer...

    Domestic Premium Economy?

Having never flown Virgin Internationally before, I am booked on VA BNE-LAX-MEL in Premium Economy in a couple of weeks time time, with connections from CBR on VA/DJ (On VA flight numbers) - on the way up to Brisbane i'm booked in "Economy" (which I'm presuming is base level, no bells and/or...

Is the AAdvantage Business ExtrAA program worth it?

I thought you needed a business based in the US/UK to join? I have looked a number of times, but the address requirements seemed more "real" than say when booking a ticket.
