    It seemed such a bargain when I bought lifetime QC in the early 90s...then I achieved LT Qf Gold in 2016 :) I asked Qf and was refused a pro rata refund on my lifetime QC membership! :(

    On my last 3 trips (2023, 2024 and 2025), I could use smart gate on returning from Africa. On one trip quarantine officials asked to see our Yellow Fever certificates though.

    I think I have done the Gordon River cruise twice now ...it is very scenic and relaxing. IIRC, you get off the boat and walk around Sarah Island for a while.

    Any idea on passport renewal times currently, in partic. in Sydney? Will submit renewal at Post Office on Mon 3.11. Going to NZ on Sat 29.11. Website suggests renewal can take up to 6 weeks. Priority pocessing takes 5 business days and cost an additional $102. Probably will pay this reluctantly...

    Just to wrap up....Interesting, on connecting to the Conrad Guangzhou WiFi, there was no Firewall at all! Had lunch in a Dim Sum place in city, and there was no Firewall on their Wifi either...was able to post on FB using their WiFi :) Have just over 2 GB left on my foreign registered SIM card...
