I concur. I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Bali back in 2019 and it just felt cheap. Won't be going back there. I have stayed at both W Seminyak and St Regis also. St Regis is my preference but that's because I'm too old for the DJs and late night parties at the Woobar!

Having traveled on Emirates yesterday, I didn't find the wifi very reliable (maybe too many people trying to use it). Even my colleague who paid for it, could barely use it.

It could indeed be different for the Krisflyer challenge. You're probably best emailing Bonvoy and getting something in writing from them. I've found they are normally pretty responsive.

I'm not sure if the T&Cs have changed in the last 9 months but I did a platinum status challenge last year and Homes and Villas stays did not count. See excerpt from email received from Marriott.
