    Seat poacher

Thus reminds me of an amusing scene in a movie, possibly Murder on the Orient Express (but searching is not coming to fruition), where this old lady refused to move to her seat because "I always sit next to the window".

MEL reportedly best airport in Australia

I don’t consider myself that well travelled. Certainly not a frequent flyer. So a bit surprised I've been to 23.

What happens if you tick “yes” to respiratory symptoms when you check in?

But in the case of the OP they know it is just a common cold and don't want to risk being stranded. No way I would tick yes.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

This VA rate might be an equivalent to P+P but you can see wildly different amounts that seem more like CR+. Eg I went MEL to OOL recently. 11k up via SYD, 14k back direct. Other flights in 20ks and 30ks.

MEL reportedly best airport in Australia

Definition of public transport from Google: buses, trains, and other forms of transport that are available to the public, charge set fares, and run on fixed routes. Most public transport is privately owned or run now. That doesn't make them private transport.

MEL reportedly best airport in Australia

The Skybus is a form of public transport, like it or not. Not exactly as nice as a train under a terminal building, but it is pretty fast to get between the city and airport so it is not so bad. Absolutely on the transfers. My last 2 international arrivals (both connecting to MEL) were in...

    Unusual airport taxi/transport experiences

Conversely after my first overseas trip many years ago, needing to get from Sydney international to domestic to get home to Adelaide (which didn't have an international airport back then) it was cheaper for the 4 of us uni students to get a taxi rather than the airport bus. Said taxi driver...

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

Except unlike them QF can't claim it is an "assisted" check-out.

    Too good to be true...

Reviews on line suggest this site is not a scam but I wonder if you sent an enquiry (since you can't book by the looks of that screenshot) whether those prices were ever available.

    Unsuccessful application!!

Further to that, if the super was a problem I would use a letter of employment stating incoming rather than payslips for future applications where possible

    Unsuccessful application!!

Maybe they treat the salary sacrifice to super as lost income ie treat your income as 30% of what it really is. I also get at tax free component working for a charity and I haven't found a way to easily explain that. Another possibility is the closed credit card still appears on your credit...

Qantas Health Insurance - what are the thoughts of those that have it?

I switched from Bupa to Qantas a couple of years ago. Another reduction in coverage on orthodontics and I cracked it. So I shopped around. Qantas worked out better. Maybe it is time to do another shop around!

Qantas Health Insurance - what are the thoughts of those that have it?

I would be wary of comparing what you see on line which might be the old price with your soon to be increased premium.

Qantas ruined our rewards booking 2 weeks before flying

No wonder when "management" (I assume her immediate supervisor) says no after her efforts. How disheartening for a team member. For what reason would you deny this? What is wrong with the supervisor? Is it a power trip or are they more fearful of going above some guideline than copping flack...

"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

Yes,I am sitting on some WW dollars. They are really there to get across the line for PC/PCP I needed, otherwise I might just use them at WW. That is beside the point. The opportunity cost is the $10 off at WW on your next shop instead of 1000 FF points.

"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

It could appeal to people not aspiring to fly J. Case in point. I recently booked MEL to OOL return. There was nothing available on Qantas. Virgin had fares of 11800 points, 14900, 29000 and more. I settled on 11800 one way but had to go above the award rate with 14900 the other. Still better...

    Coles gift card offers

So anyway, what's the incentive for giftcards (or Heritage Bank) to sell a $250 card at $231.30? Interest earnt, cards go unused, advertising? All of the above? I can't see them making a profit out of it.

Looks like the offer has ended early.

    Coles gift card offers

Finally! Rates due today and turns out I didn't pay the previous instalment, conveniently. But I also had Amex and CBA problems. Success with low points Coles Mastercard and desperately resorted to an ANZ debit card.
