    Complimentary Partner Gold

I'm halfway through my Qantas year and I've requalified for Platinum so I'm thinking there's a good chance I'll get the partner Gold again. My question is this: my partner will reach Gold in his own right this year, does that mean I just get nothing instead?

    DONE4 ex Jakarta - how?

Alrighty... it's not going to work ex jakarta for me it seems. Are there options out of Tokyo other than booking via JAL?

    DONE4 ex Jakarta - how?

Thanks for that. I think my first flight is with JAL, though I will be using Cathay as well. Should I try them instead or will that not work starting with Jakarta? I assume I need to call a booking office based in Jakarta right?

    DONE3 / DONE4 / DONE5 - what to do?

Having done some book research I must agree that Budapest looks like an exciting destination and is definitely in our top 5 must-sees. We're going to deliberately skip Prague and Vienna (even though they're not far) due to time constraints - they'll have to wait until we do our P or V city...

    DONE3 / DONE4 / DONE5 - what to do?

Ahhh okay - that's almost limitless then isn't it. Seems like that's the best option. I'll get onto investigating it over the next few weekends and will report back once I've locked it all in.

    DONE3 / DONE4 / DONE5 - what to do?

I spent two weekends mapping out a completely different plan, going to cities on the top of our list, but on thinking more about it, realised that if we see all the top cities within the first few trips, where to from there? It WILL be hard passing Vienna from Budapest on the way to Brussels...

    DONE3 / DONE4 / DONE5 - what to do?

We want to take one of these combinations (DONE3>DONE5) as a holiday, to cities beginning with the letter B. Crazy I know - but it DOES ensure we visit cities we might not have otherwise discovered. Anyway.... Here's my problem. Usually, we try take these trips with me paying for my flight...

DONE3 Planning ex Japan - Europe questions

Hi all, I'm planning another RTW trip, but having read the advice on this board I'll leave ex: Japan via a DONE3 and save significant $$. A couple of questions I hope you can help with a) Any truth to rumours that this flight will go up in price significantly soon? b) Are there 16...

How to book an AA flight for a QFF

I've just tried booking a flight from LGA-ATL via the aa site, but it seems there's no way to register a QFF number - only an AA number. Does anyone know of another online booking alternative? I'm registered with Qantas Business Plus and tried booking there, but strangely it only shows Delta...

    DONE4 – April 2008 - Part One MEL/SYD/NRT

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll continue the trip report next weekend. We didn't have net access in Rome and NY was too busy. Home now and had a brilliant time. To the previous questions: I had no problem getting around Tokyo or using the subway even though I can only speak 3 words in...

    DONE4 – April 2008 - Part One MEL/SYD/NRT

DONE4 – April 2008 Our 2-week break to Tokyo, London, Venice, Rome, New York We both travel a lot for work, but rarely do we take a holiday. One 10-day break and one 4-day break in 10 years, so this is pretty exciting for us. Other than Italy, I’ve been to the other places many times, but...
