Hi, Looking at the track taken by QF2129 GLT- SYD today it looks like a normal GLT- BNE one and then when overhead BNE, it took a sharp turn to the south-west. Is this the norm? Why wouldn't it just go directly via the inland?

Also probably related to the seasonal increase in demand by tourists during the dry season. Good to have more choices though.

When are the flights? You could hope for a schedule change which, depending on the airline, is a valid reason for a no-penalty cancellation of the booking.
