My experience as WP1 is that I seem to have a fainter shadow than previously. Several times I've been in the front row of Y and have had someone next to me whilst the middle seats in the next few rows have been empty. So much so that I've started to consider going back to my old seat selections...

I used to do this but my one change since becoming WP1 is to ensure that codeshare flights are booked on the QF number - this way the smaller number of SCs go towards hitting the 2700 QF target which is the one that I suspect I will struggle with.

I think it also depends on where you're sitting in the plane - the winter schedule for PER - SYD - LAX is a similar 75 min transfer which I've always found fine when seated at the front of the plane (but not so comfortable at the back - in more ways than one)

I guess what I'm thinking is that if my 3 times on this flight are representative (I.e. Delay of 24 hrs every one in three flights) then I'll switch back to LAX. If this is just a one off unlucky event then I'll stick with it. I typically cross the pacific 6-7 times a year
