I have had flawless service all the way from NB to SG actually. Even with no status I got thru in about 30 seconds! Maybe I was just very lucky.

Jeez I wouldn't be hard on yourself for using sedation. I have to do it myself (not for anxiety reasons, I'd rather be on a plane with no phone and with a book than anywhere else) and I have slept through entire Lax-Mel flights except 20 minutes at beginning and end!
