For those with interviews at Sydney - I don’t think it’ll affect them as it’s run by the consulate official Department of State staff and not DHS.The US is in a partial government shutdown with no funding for DHS.
DHS is will be shutting down Global Entry and TSA Precheck until their is a funding agreement DHS says it's suspending TSA PreCheck and Global Entry due to shutdown

Conditional approval does not grant any rights to use Global entry or Pre Check.Hello everyone,
Finally after 10 weeks, i have been conditionally approved.
I would like to know if i can enter my PASSID / KTN into domestic US flight bookings? Even though i am not fully approved for Global Entry ?
And how is the enrollment on arrival situation in SFO ?
Are there clear signs that point you to the interview area etc ?
Thank you in advance.
Thanks for replying. Unfortunately i live in Melbourne. Hopefully they will come to Melbourne before i depart for the US in mid April.Conditional approval does not grant any rights to use Global entry or Pre Check.
You need to be fully approved first before the KTN will be recognised.
Are you in Sydney? If so, the mobile enrollment team are still at Hyatt Regency tomorrow so see if you can register for an appointment today if there is slots available in tomorrows schedule.
yes you can add your KTN to bookings, doesn't hurt, but it won't show TSA PRE on your BP until you're approved.Hello everyone,

Lol yup, US politics is such a mess. Hopefully this partial shutdown will end by early April.I read somewhere during the current budget issues in the US they are not currently processing Global Entry passengers on arrival (standard entry only).
Datapoint: Applied just before new years, background check completed days later in early Jan. Conditionally approval last Friday (approx two months later). Will schedule my interview for end of April NYC when im next in the US.
Not sure why mine took so long, but maybe my having applied using a new renewed passport with no history of entry to the US had something to do with it?
Yep - hence my surprise last Saturday 7th Mar (Friday US time) when I got an email from CBP notifying me of a status change to my application (conditionally approved)!Global Entry is currently suspended due to the US gov shutdown.
Oh amazing !!Just an FYI; DHS will be reactivating Global Entry on March 11th at 5:00 AM ET
