Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

Looks like row 5 is blocked for WP again - I moved to 5AB yesterday.

Yeah, we switched seats for one flight and 5C/D have stuck - for now.

Similarly, an A330 route (AY dry lease), 32J/L have stuck, but 32A/B is now showing blocked on EF.

Thought that was too good to be true and obviously some rollout teething issues. It will be interesting to see what if any changes occur at T-80 and T-24/OLCI.

Also, international (trans tasman) s incoherent.

Indicating $0 for exta legroom but trying to charge $35 for those in row 4 ...

But consistent with exit row charges?

Actually no - row 12/13 doesn't have a charge now transtasman

row 4 still does
oddly my app didn't show row 4 available, but the contact centre could put me in it.... for a charge

Are you sure? You have to actually select one to see the $35 fee.

Well, that’s what I’m seeing on domestic runs but it’s now confusing showing all extra legroom seats as Green and $0 but if I try and select and Exit Row seat, it shows $35.

Not sure if discussed but I am flying on QF12, but ticketed by AA in Premium - I'm unable to view the seat map now, or select any new seats. My previous selection still shows on the QF app, but now MMB gives me "Aisle/Window" preference only.

When? Close in (i.e. past T-80) they may have already allocated all or most of the remaining seats. What does Expertflyer indicate?

We flew back from SYD to HBA on "Port Douglas". We got row 4 for free after check in - sequence 1 and 2 - we moved fast! The legroom was huge and I wondered if this was a Plus configured one. The flight attendant confirmed it was. Row 4 was amazing. The rows behind looked good too. Toilet was small but mostly sink space has been lost.

I am just shy of 6ft... we had 2 of us in the row and were more comfortable than J.

I'm not seeing any of that as I only have bookings in J or on the Dash-8.

But the big question for me is, can I select the bulkhead row on a 330. Never been able to do that. Would make a huge difference to me.

No, outside T-80 only CL/P1 - no change.

But if you can now call and pay to move (as @ShrinkWrapped alluded to earlier), then that’s actually not bad TBH.

that means seating for your status level has been exhausted. Whatever you do, don’t select a preference for aisle or window! That will kick you out of your existing seats! (although a friend of mine did that and was then assigned an emergency exit for free at check-in!… although I think that was a stroke of luck rather than anything else!)

I don't think you can do that with an Intl 330. The seats just show as blocked. Full stop.
Blocked for DIY, but it was reported above that by calling it was possible to move to Row 4 (for a fee).
