I was considering making some bookings for next year but ended up making no bookings with this promo.
With my membership year ending 31 Jan the 40sc gift is of benefit to me.

From a previous promo I changed a couple of Oct long weekend award flights.
Syd-Lst-Mel changed to a direct Syd-Mel and now arrive a couple of hours earlier.
Mel-Bne-Syd only changed Bne-Syd to a flight an hour earlier.
Once all the DSC post I will hit Qantas Gold for the first time.

Just got the confirmation of a Monday screening! Unfortunately its still within 24hrs of the February booking so can cancel for free - no other option. Will have to wait till the 24hrs is up to make the change online.

That’s what mine did (screen shots “before” and “after”).

I know this has been mentioned before relating to some other freebie SCs but I need to make a note to myself to see what happens on 31 July next year…

You know me @RooFlyer - I've benefitted immensely from the knowledge and have no qualms in sharing the same with others and have done so already for this current promo. But I do also get a good chuckle from the banter and double-meanings.

I’ll admit it I’m in the dark on this, but hardly surprising as even after 6 years on AFF I still have to refer to Matt’s glossary to understand all of these acronyms lol……

There are certain topics that aren't overtly discussed (for various reasons), but don't forget that face-to-face events usually result in very informative conversations and that in the meantime, Private Messaging is always available and there are plenty of folk willing and able to explain things

This is exactly what happened.

My already earned tally is 170SCs lower than what my year end position was when I took screen shot on 31st July.

And my Lifetime is the actual year end tally plus 20SCs earned flying in August.

I actually don't agree with them reducing the previous earn to date total. If anything the earned this year should have a qualifier in brackets (150 CS not eligible for Lifetime) and leave the true previous earn.

I did enquire with a travel agent friend of mine but they couldn't get the same fares that were on the QF website.

I think the pricing QF offers to TAs are slightly expensive than what's available on QF website (say 5-8%) approx.

I too decided to get a few viewing late last night. I'm actually have extra viewing sessions that may expire soon for the fight club movie so I need to go see more movies.
