QF10, menu and food selections, went with the duck starter and chicken for main - both pleasant enough without being spectacular.
Breakfast was a bit of a let down, poached egg on toast (came hard boiled) - which probably isn’t easy to get right on an aircraft. At least the 787 had proper coffee machine, much better than the A330.

Bacon and Eggs bagel option?
Looks like you made a solid choice. Bagels, Salmon and eggs is a winning combo.Sorry for ambiguity - not a bagel but a hot plate of 'bacon and eggs'

Back to BNE on the early flight of the day. Very good service from CSM Karen and FA Kelsie.

Had the ham and gruyère cheese omelette, which was better than expected and hit the spot nicely. The usual Lois Lane sparkling accompanied. The other breakfast options were a frittata of some description and a Bircher muesli.
Yeah, while the 787 has drinkable coffee, it certainly isn't "great coffee"Pretty sure the A330 and 787 both have the same pod machines for their "espresso".
Around December 2020 / January 2021 but only for longer flights e.g. interstate to/from DRW/PER.Since when are the meal trays lined with cloth?
Looks good, though (because I wouldn't discourage this idea) ironically probably increases the risk of slipping compared to the bare tray.
